Reasonable Accommodation Suggestions

Hey howdy ho everyone,

We recently received a request for some possible options for an employee looking for a reasonable accommodation:

"I have an employee who is having trouble answering phones. They cannot perform a verbal response when fielding reception calls. I am wondering if there is software that allows for type to voice---for example, if the employee types a response, it would then be translated into voice."

I know there are options, but I like casting a wide net. What would you awesome people recommend?

    Hi  . In similar situations we have looked at: the Nagish app and the Talking Keyboard. Not sure what king of phone you are using. Both of these are kind of workarounds.

    Hello!
    We've seen success with people using the Proloquo4Text app on an iPad with a keyboard. It comes with preprogrammed responses but you can customize everything. An example is we had an individual who is a nurse for a public school. Part of her duties were to answer the phone and make phone calls to update parents about their child being in the nurses office and why they were there. She loved using the app. She was able to save a template for when she has to leave a voicemail or save common responses to questions she gets asked.
