Home mods for child with SCI

Hi, looking for any suggestions for home mods that would be helpful for a 9-year old parlayzed from the waist down. Very active, athletic (just handcycled a 5k on one of our bikes) and learning how to live with his injury. The family is getting ready to make modifications and have asked for anything they may not be thinking about. We've talked about typical bathroom mods, kitchen with some pull down cabinets, front control cooking, roll under counters, ramps, etc. Money is not a real issue for them so let me know what else you might suggest.
