Bestic Feeding Robot – Stuck in Demo Mode – Anyone Have Experience?
Hi AT Community,
I'm posting on behalf of a community member who has acquired a used Bestic feeding robot and is experiencing what appears to be a demo mode limitation preventing full access to the device's settings. The unit powers on and basic functions work, however key settings described in the operating manual — including pause duration at the feeding position, scooping pattern selection, and the ability to save configured parameters — are inaccessible, requiring a full reconfiguration every single use.
The challenge is compounded by the fact that the Bestic was manufactured by Camanio Care, a Swedish AT company that appears to have ceased operations, making traditional manufacturer support channels unlikely to be an option.
We are hoping someone in the community can help with any of the following:
- Experience exiting demo mode on the Bestic
- A service or technician-level access code to unlock the full programming menu
- Contact details for former distributors, dealers, or technicians familiar with the device
- Any service-level documentation beyond the standard user manual
Any leads — even partial — could make a real difference in helping this person. Please reply to this thread or reach out directly. Thank you!

I reached out to a colleague at one of our demo sites and below is his response.
I spent a little time probing Skynet (Chat GPT) on this. I forced it to look on Swedish sites. If it wasn't just wildly hallucinating, it suggested that a demo mode toggle might be present somewhere in the service mode.
It also suggests that the service code was firmware version or distributor specific. So there might be hundreds of codes that will unlock service mode.
Has anyone opened the unit up to see if there are any dip switches or jumpers on the control board? There might also be a small battery for preserving memory.
- I would start with variations of pressing and holding the reset button while both powered and not powered. Quick press, 10 sec, 30 sec, 60 sec. Also try powering the unit on while holding the reset button in.
- Skynet gave a few codes to try service mode but I doubt these are real. 1111, 1234, 2010, 1978 (year the company was founded). Both Chat GPT and Gemini cannot seem to find a concrete source for the real service code.
Beyond this we would be getting into trying to copy the firmware from the EEPROM. Problem there is it might still be stuck in a demo mode if we re-flashed it.
If anyone would like to talk to the guy who wrote this, I can connect you. I just didn't want to put his contact info up without speaking to him.
