Emergency Preparedness Guidance
Hi Everyone,
The Connecticut Centers for Independent Living and State Independent Living Council with support from the CT Tech Act Project is looking to do trainings on Emergency Preparedness for people with disabilities. This is new for us, and I wonder if anyone has any materials you can share around trainings you've offered, any type of checklist you've sent home with attendees in your trainings of how to prepare, what to bring, things to think about? We want our attendees to have a checklist to leave with and the CILs want to provide a "Go Bag" to attendees that will include tools, items, or AT as a starting point. If anyone has any ideas for tools or AT items to go in the Go Bag, for example, I'm thinking of a portable battery charger, they are thinking of a warming blanket, please share. I'd love to hear from you and hoping to be able to borrow rather than having to create or recreate materials. Thank you so much!
