Adapted Knife-Are you loaning items like these out?

Hi,

OK ABLE Tech recently received a Nulu knife

  1. Do other AT programs have this item or similar items?
  2. Are you loaning out these items and/or just using for demo purposes?

Thank you so much!

WisTech has added the Nulu knife to each of our 8 program inventories. Plus I purchased one for myself. I have weak hands with medication induced arthritis. These are very sharp and I recommend a high level of caution. One of the programs brings it to display booths but built up a locking, clear tabletop display to prevent anyone from picking it up.

For me, the blade guard is a struggle to open/close and I feel like I'm in more danger getting that on and off than just keeping the blade in drawer. I have provided this feedback to the developer. He mentioned a newer version of the guard.

What I can say is that when I used the knife to cut up some vegetarian bacon (I make my own) is that this knife was a miracle. It normally took me over 30 minutes of painful cutting and this knife did it pain-free in 7 minutes.

    Just be careful for sure!

We also have the Nulu knife and right now we're just demoing that. We do have a weighted rocker knife that we loan out quite often.

We have had one in our demo/loan program here at AzTAP for about six months ago.  I dont show that we have had any demo or loans of it yet.  We have through provided extensive information and support to the company regarding the device and their new assessment tool.  Clayton

I suggest DEMO only due to the cut risk that this product has. With the two cutting surfaces it's much riskier.
