Opportunity to Collaborate: Research on Disability, Valley Fever, and Assistive Technology
Hi AT3 Community,
I’m reaching out to see if anyone is interested in joining a research team.
Divya Ramesh is conducting a systematic review on disability and valley fever as part of the Research Training Institute at the Medical Library Association. She’s looking for individuals who would be interested in helping screen articles. The goal of the project is to create meaningful research around disability and health information to ultimately impact policy and patient care.
Additionally, she is designing a survey to explore the functional impacts of disability and the barriers to task fulfillment caused by valley fever. The survey will help identify what assistive technology (AT) resources could be useful. Divya is looking for ideas on how to reach AT professionals and possibly patients. Although this might not be an endemic area for everyone, it’s a unique opportunity to contribute.
If you have any thoughts, are interested in collaborating, or know someone with an interest in infectious diseases and AT, please consider joining! You can contact Divya directly at divya@arizona.edu.
Looking forward to hearing from anyone who might be interested!
Best,
Ryan
