MOU's
Minnesota wants to partner with our Department of Human Services - Community Based Services - VR program. We are looking at setting up four AT Kits that their team members can use for device demos. Is anyone doing anything like this and if so are you using an MOU? Would you mind sharing your document for us to review?

Amy - we did a similar project with each of our ADRC sites. I gave them multiple budget choices in the proposal and then provided a list of recommended demo equipment separated by low, mid, and high technology. We recently did another similar project and provided demonstration kits for each Cooperative Extension site for our AgrAbility project.

We have an MOU with our voc rehab too, also helped them created an equipment list for their AT specialists (there are 29 in TX that support the VR counselors) to use. IT has evolved since the 1st iteration attached- but you get the gist. We join their monthly webinars and have ongoing training/technical assistance sessions virtually. They also get priority demos and device loans. We are housed at a university so the mou is the "template" they make me use. I will say between the University and the State review protocols- it took MONTHS to finalize.
As for ADRCs- we have to work with them individually- the metro areas are more open to it but it us kinda like pulling teeth. There are 28 in TX and we have informal agreements with about 6. Some of the AAAs are more amenable and we have done mini grants with 2 of them in the past.
