Accessible Parking Spaces
Ohio is holding hearings on a bill to Grant accessible parking privileges to pregnant women, Ohio House Bill 450. The measure has had 4 hearings so far. Not taken a deep dive into this yet but I’ve heard that Florida was the first state to recently pass such a law.
During a recent meeting of disability advocates in Ohio, the United Spinal Association gave a presentation about the bill and trying to fight its passage. They said they did a study and found that more than 10% of the vehicles on the road across the country now have placards or disability license plates and in Ohio it is 13%. He talked about how there is already a limited number of accessible spaces. What are other state's thoughts on this issue?
