Infrastructure Act- Broadband Access- what are you doing to get invloved

Texas is getting an initial 3.3 billion for gadgets and cables/lines (another 1.? billion coming later!).   I was lucky (maybe) enough to land a spot on the State's Task force for these projects. The state Disability Rights Director is also on the task force. They have a plan.

They are just now completing a public survey and public listening sessions. I went to a few of them- oh my that was an eye opener.

My experience so far is that most of the task force members are all about the cables and lines and have no idea what real end users (ANY users- but esp PWD) are about. For example- one question I got in a meeting "why would people with disabilties need high speed internet"...sigh. Also apparently the FCC maps of coverage are terrible and not correct.

Have any of you been looped into this? Ideas? Thoughts? Strategies? Should we create some generic FYI thing for all states adding broadband access?
