Glean

A small community college in Minnesota is struggling to pay for its Glean subscriptions. Does anyone have recommendations for other solutions that may be more affordable?

    Hi Amy,

If the college has a Microsoft subscription, OneNote is a strong alternative, as it allows you to sync audio with your notes, much like Glean. OneNote works across devices. For those using Apple devices, Notability is another excellent option with audio-to-note syncing, though it’s only available on Apple platforms.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Best,

    Ryan

Thank you! I will circle back. I am not sure if they are Microsoft of Google.

Another thought is to go the Livescribe pen route. The Community College could purchase the pens/specialized paper and check them out on a semester basis to students. I really like the ECHO 2 pen as it has the microphone and speaker built into the pen and does not require additional devices.

I know there are some initial costs going this route, but the Community College would be able to get several years out of the pens and not have the yearly subscription costs.
