Bodily Autonomy, Sexual Health, and AAC
Hey everyone,
On April 1st from 10:30am-12:00pm EST TRAID staff Gemma White will be conducting a training on new developments in Alternative Augmentative Communication software, specifically words for body parts that can be used to indicate when someone is experiencing discomfort like a UTI, or even abuse. This training is free and open to anyone who is interested, registration and additional information can be found below:
"This session is intended for individuals receiving services, peer advocates, family members, and provider agency staff. Westchester Institute for Human Development staff and Speech Language Pathologist Gemma White will provide information on the newest Alternative Augmentative Communication (AAC) technology. This technology can help people who are non-speaking communicate medical and personal needs, including intimate health concerns and abuse."
