Vocational Resource- Peak Performers

I stumbled across Peak Performers main office in a local shopping district in Austin, but they do have a national footprint, so I thought other AT programs might be interested. They are a staffing agency specifically for people with disabilties. They cater to employers wanting to hire people with disabilties and people with disabilties looking for jobs.

At any rate, a resource to add to one’s e-rolodex, and possibly a partner for some programs. I will also share on the AT3 Center TA Community.

I’m not familiar with this organization. Are they directly tied to Vocational Rehabilitation or a stand alone organization with a similar mission?

My understanding is they are a non-profit and sustain by fees the employers pay and possibly the job seekers who want more advanced services. Sort of like Indeed or Zip Recruiter, but specifically for people with disabilties. They may have grants they receive also, i did not ask for  prospectus. They knew about AT/Accessiblity/"reasonable accommodation" etc. and sometimes fund some items like adjustable work desk or computer access rather than waiting for Tx Workforce Commission to get their act together.  We will probably do some training for them and outreach at various evetns they have. I am sure they will use the loan closet now they they know about us- they are about 5 miles from my office. They place temps and permanent employees. So a business that wants to hire diversely would come to them and say they need xyz, then they would match an employee. Started in Austin, expanded nationally somewhat recently.
