Emergency Planning

Good afternoon. Minnesota has an outdated toolkit for Emergency Planners (attached and last updated in 2015). We are on a committee that is going to take a look at the existing document and potentially update it. Is anyone willing to share any resources that you have that pertain to this topic?

Texas DSHS recently created these (we gave them feedback before finalizing) - the flyer and AAC board downloads are on a public link (below) anyone can use them. I think they have distributed 11,000 laminated hard copies to first responders and agencies. We will probably do some of our "in the box" AT 101/disability etiquette/AAC overview 1 hour sessions for them and let them record it and upload to their you tube or something so all those 1st responders know what to do with the boards :).  Have no idea how many have been downloaded. also attached them here. Emergency Communication Aid | Texas DSHS

I did note needs Accessiblity work. I am working with them on that (it is the state of TX :)). Rather than do it for them, I want to teach them to do it, taking a bit of time and politicking tho.
