Donation: Toddler Mobility Trainer from TOM
In honor of America's 250th, Tikkun Olam Makers (TOM) is giving away 250 Toddler Mobility Trainers (TMTs), free of charge, to young children who need mobility support, and to the lending libraries and clinics that serve them.
The TMT:
- Gives young children early independent mobility before they're ready for a wheelchair (recommended for children under 4 feet)
- Supports movement, exploration, and development during a critical early window
- Is lightweight and indoor-friendly, a good fit for device loan and demo libraries
You can see the device featured on CBS News and the product file on our open-source AT database is free for anyone to download and build.
Who we are: TOM is a global nonprofit that designs and builds open-source assistive technology for people with disabilities.
If your program, or a child or organization you work with, could use a TMT, we'd be grateful if you'd:
- Fill out or share the TMT Request Form, or
- Email me at judith@tomglobal.org and I will follow up directly
Happy to answer questions here too!
